I think my favourite colour to wear on my nails will without a doubt always be blue. For ages I was on the hunt for the perfect navy and the brightest electric and as much as I am always reaching for them, I wriggle my way back to this shade time and time again.

NOTD: Aztec
Hey lovelies!
Just a quick post today because I'm trying to get back into the swing of blogging again. I do miss it and I feel like I've deprived my lovely readers and myself recently!
Anyway, here's a nail design I did a few days ago. I haven't done a pattern in a while and it took me FOR.EVER.
Anyway, I hope you like it and there will definately be more posts very soon!

NOTD: Pastels, Camouflage and Crosses
After treating myself a little in Topshop outlet store last week, I picked up the vest above, pastels, camouflage and crosses all in one.. all of which I love and makes the generic camouflage a bit more summery and girly!
Anywho, this 'inspired me' (if you like) to use a few felt crosses that I'd bought from eBay in a little nail art splurging session. I used Barry M's Peach Melba and Blue Moon, a long with a light pink nail art pen that I got from eBay, too.
Just a short post from me today then! I hope you like my nails and watch out for more posts soon :)
Thanks for reading!

NOTD: Monochrome Paisley
Hello ladies!
Finishing college and not working as much as I would like has left me lots of free time to do my nails, yaaay! At work my nails get so chipped so easily, as I'm sure you fellow retail workers would know, and I have recently given up with painting them with pretty patterns for them to only look on their last legs after just a few hours.
This time I thought I'd try a paisley pattern in black and white. I had tried to do a coloured version of this a few night before, but it failed and I think attempting to do it at 3am may have had something to do with it! Anyway, above was the end result.. not perfect but something I can work on. Practice makes perfect and all that usual jazz. So here is what I used to create the design, not many things and not hard at all!

| Rimmel London | Black Cab Barry M | Matt White |

| Nail Art Brushes | eBay |
Considering this was the first time I'd used my nail art brushes, please do excuse the state of them! Whilst ordering my friend Charlotte's Birthday present, I had to nab myself a new set of these too! I am still to find a way of cleaning them properly though, as nail-varnish remover seems to make them go stiff making it harder to apply polish next time around!
I painted my nails in a few coats of the Matte White as it does take a few layers to build up the colour and also takes a while to dry. I then used the brush on the left to create most of the pattern with the black polish, the middle to do the polka dots and the more intricate tiny lines, and the right one to do the stripes and made each nail up as I went along, basically!
The design actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I think I'm quite pleased with the results..although my mum keeps telling me they look like eye balls rather than paisley haha.
Have you tried this pattern before? I'd love to see some of your nail art designs!
Thanks for reading!
P.S. Sorry for the top photo not being completely in focus, I'm still trying to get to grips with my camera. Hello newbie blogger over here! Haha

Nails: Electric Lines
My first nail post- woo!
This is a first for a design like this for me. Usually I use nail art brushes for different patterns, but today I grabbed some masking tape (after Mum's precise 'freshening up' of the living room at the weekend) and pretty much made this one up as I went along. So, if you're interested in how I did this then have a butchers below!

| Thought I'd take a sneaky shot of the colour individually with my new nail wheel (look at me, trying to look all professional!..) |
Firstly I applied the base coat and had to wait about a trillion years for it to dry. Then, I applied Turquoise Lagoon, which took a while to dry because of the base coat- I always mentally moan at myself about this base coat, I think it's had it. Does anyone have any base coats they can recommend me?
Then, I cut small strips of masking tape to create the gap for the lines I would fill in with the Foil Effects. I then left these to dry for a while and peeled the masking tape off. I then repeated for the black nail varnish, this time in different places- as the picture above shows quite unsuccessfully.
I found that leaving the nail varnish to slightly dry before peeling off left a much cleaner, sharper edge that otherwise was pulled off by the tackiness of the masking tape.
I wanted to finish off the nail with my matte top coat, but me being me, I smashed it on the floor and it went everywhere! *Mental note to self to buy a new one*
I'd like to appologise for the sparse posts, I've been quite busy the last few days and my cats poorly :( She's got a ulcer in her eye which means trips to the vets everyday watching him poke around her eye with tweezers. Very gory, very unpleasant but Bellas being a brave girlie :D haha.
Another appology also for the shoddy quality of the pictures, at the moment I'm stuck with my rubbish broken little camera, but when my Dad's back from Manchester I shall be nabbing his camera off him ;)
More posts to come very soon, a little haul on zee way :)
Do you think you'll try out this nail look? What's your favourite nail art at the moment?
Any suggestions for other posts? Let me know!
Thanks for reading guys!
Sam xx
